Kevin Gledhill has been involved with Martial Arts for over 42 years . He started his training with Judo at 10 yrs old. In 1984 at the age of 24,  K Gledhill began Ving Tsun training in London, U.K. under Victor Kan, a direct student of Yip Man, and eventually became a certified senior instructor. He taught and ran daily operations at the London VKVT Headquarters for several years before being asked by V Kan in 1998 to open a branch in New York City. While with VKVT, he assisted V Kan in many seminars across Europe and USA, meeting and "talking hands" with many sifu and students of various lineages ( see photo gallery ).

In 2004, after several years teaching in NYC, K Gledhill was introduced to Philipp Bayer by his sihing Desmond Spencer. That same year, Sifu P Bayer was invited to give a 5 day seminar in NYC. It was at this meeting that a unique and incredibly efficient approach was presented to K Gledhill which had a tremendous impact on his understanding of VT. Philipp Bayer's skills and clear unambiguous execution of VT fighting illuminated the path that he needed to take in order to further develop himself and guide his student's development. K Gledhill has subscribed to his mentorship ever since.

Mr. Gledhill is the lead instructor at Ving Tsun USA. He teaches at three locations: Gleason's Gym (Brooklyn, NY), Manhattan at 107 Suffolk Street and at American Martial Arts Academy (Matawan, NJ). He is available for group and private lessons and has given seminars for federal law enforcement agencies.
